Connie Pease has been practicing and teaching yoga since 2005. Initially practicing with Cristene Dugan, Connie has also practiced with Bryan Kest, one of the first and original “power” yoga programs, Beryl Binder Birch, Leslie Karmnoff, Sadie Nardini, Yoganand Michael Carroll, and Suddha Weixler. She is certified, but not going to use labels which doesn’t describe her yoga journey.

Connie’s primary objective is turning more and more people toward a healthier, more peaceful lifestyle that continually challenges them to grow, and to teach a system of exercise that fully integrates the body, mind, and spirit. Although she is more interested in asking the right questions than knowing all the answers, Connie isn’t shy about challenging the anecdotal instruction we were taught in yoga classes of our past but still upholds the tradition with the reverence it deserves. She has a well-earned reputation for deepening the newest to the most seasoned practices, through humor balanced with a quest for authenticity. Connie has recently completed her RYT 500.

Her yoga practice began transforming from its general sequence into something more personal. In a lot of ways, this is a liberating and awareness yoga class! Connie instructs at the Barn, Decatur Athletic Club, Decatur Library, and out of town venues.
